we have different ways of showing our affection and appreciation

that we tend to misunderstand each situation

yet despite those differences

and though some of my actions get left unnoticed

at the end of each day

my heart seeks yours

and, once again,

your promise gives me hope

He is Our Vindicator; Our Defender

Posted by -edz- on 9:02 PM in ,
For those who are praying the Lord’s Prayer, did you ever pause and ponder on the portion “…forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against…”? Do you know why God wants us to forgive those who wronged us? First and foremost, so that He in turn can forgive us; and it is one of the keys of overcoming disappointments in life when we choose to forgive and let go of the past and believe that God will restore us of anything that was taken away. When we receive God’s forgiveness in our life, we are released from the pressure to make up for past mistakes or failures and we begin to experience the bright future God has in store for us.

Let us not allow our regrets of yesterday destroy our hopes of tomorrow no matter what happened in the past, for God is a God of restoration and He will restore what the enemy (the devil) has stolen from you! Let us accept God’s mercy and forgiveness today and look forward to the wonderful plan He has for us in the future!

God promises in His Word that He is our Vindicator; He is our Defender who will settle whatever case we have in the past, but in order to allow Him to settle our debts, we have to forgive others in the same way God forgave us when we were guilty of sin. We have to release those who have wronged us from what we think they owe us, and that is true forgiveness – freeing others, so that we can be free!
